The Tunisian U18 handball team drew with their Guinean counterparts (18-18) at a 19th Africa Women's Youth Handball Championship Group A day-1 game played on Saturday evening in Monastir.
Algeria lost 18-28 to Nigeria in their first Group A match.
In Group B, Egypt won their match against DR Congo by forfeit (10-0), while Angola defeated Morocco (37-15).
Under the competition's format, the eight teams will qualify for the tournament's quarter-finals on Tuesday.
The top four teams in the final standings will qualify for the 2024 Women's Youth World Championship.
