Accra: The fourth edition of the Agritech West Africa exhibition is set to occur from September 19 to 20, 2025, at the Accra International Conference Centre. The event will be held under the auspices of the Ministries of Food and Agriculture and Trade and Industry.
According to Ghana News Agency, the exhibition will be co-located with the Agrochem Agro Input Ghana and Agro Process Pack Ghana exhibitions. Organised by Synergice Events India, the event is supported by the West African Chamber of Agriculture (WACOA), Croplife Ghana, and the Association of Ghana Industries. Additional backing comes from the Ghana Union of Traders Association, Food and Beverage Association of Ghana, Farmer Organisation Network of Ghana, Federation of Association of Ghanaian Exporters, Guzakuza, and several regional farmers' cooperatives and groups.
Approximately 100 companies from various countries, including Ghana, India, Turkey, Nigeria, China, the United Kingdom, Italy, France, and Spain, will participate. The exhibits will feature agrochemicals, agricultural technology, irrigation, biofeeds, food processing, packaging technologies, and processed food and beverages.
Organisers expect around 4,000 visitors, including agribusiness operators, commercial and small-scale farmers, food and beverage industries, importers, distributors, retailers, and supermarkets. The exhibitions aim to provide a platform for international exhibitors to connect with Ghanaian and West African partners. Growers, manufacturers, traders, and distributors will have opportunities to explore business prospects, introduce new products, and adopt innovative agricultural and food processing practices.
A two-day seminar and conference will be held alongside the exhibition. Ministries, departments, and agencies will join farmer groups, research institutions, trade associations, and chambers of commerce to discuss innovations and current issues in the sector. Mr Thomas James, Project Director of Agritech West Africa, Synergice Events, stated that the exhibition aligns with Ghana's development goals of promoting value-added agriculture to strengthen the national economy and improve food security.
