Amendments to Foreign Exchange Code to Support Young Innovators, Prime Minister Announces

TUNIS: The Prime Minister of Tunisia, Kamel Madouri, has announced forthcoming amendments to the Foreign Exchange Code, which will be included in the new finance law. These changes are aimed at benefiting young creators, with specific measures designed to support start-ups and facilitate their access to global markets. According to Agence Tunis Afrique Presse, Prime Minister Madouri made this announcement during a ceremony at the Government Palace in the Kasbah, where young innovators and start-ups were honored for their achievements in innovation and creativity. The government is focusing on developing the use of international technology cards and enhancing support for young Tunisians in the global virtual market by revising the foreign exchange code. This initiative seeks to create opportunities for trading in digital currencies and virtual assets on international platforms. Madouri highlighted that the new finance law will incorporate financial measures to assist start-ups, addressing challenges such as access to financing and guarantees. The government is committed to understanding and addressing the needs of young entrepreneurs and business start-ups, ensuring they have the necessary support to thrive. The Prime Minister emphasized the government's dedication to fostering a knowledge-based society and constructing an economy that can provide new investment and project creation opportunities for young people. The commitment to these initiatives underscores the government's resolve to support the next generation of innovators. The ceremony recognized numerous young individuals and start-ups for their accomplishments in international competitions. Among those honored were the National Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Team, Robotex, and start-ups including Aquadeep, Watersec, Enova Robotics, and the Green Entrepreneurs program. Ministers from various sectors, including education, communication technologies, health, and industry, were present at the event, highlighting the government's multi-faceted appr oach to supporting young talent.
