Ammar/Minnikhanov agree to activate bilateral cooperation in various fields

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians abroad Nabil Ammar had a talk with President of the Federal Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, on the fringes of his participation in the Economic and Humanitarian Forum which kicked off works on July 27 in Saint Petersburg.

Ammar pointed out on the occasion, the opportunities to boost cooperation in the fields of trade, mechanical industries, halal food industries, digital products, as well as culture and sports.

Tatarstan hosts 75 Tunisian students, with the possibility of receiving more, it was mentioned during the meeting.

In another connection, the FM underlined Tunisia's need to import large quantities of grain, calling on the President of Tatarstan to "support the country's efforts in this regard in order to get preferential prices."

The two sides agreed to activate bilateral cooperation in various fields in order to meet the two countries' aspirations and increase bilateral visits, notably at the economic and technical levels.

Nabil Ammar paid a visit to the Tunisian Pavilion at the exhibition hall in St.Petersburg, urging the Tunisian representatives to exert every effort to further promote the tourism and trade sectors.
