Bizerte, Tunisia – The Tunisian Red Crescent's national solidarity and humanitarian campaign for the Palestinian people concluded its first phase in the governorate of Bizerte on Sunday. This initiative was focused on gathering support for the Palestinian Red Crescent and the people of Palestine.
According to Agence Tunis Afrique Presse, Secretary General of the Tunisian Red Crescent in Bizerte, the campaign successfully amassed a significant amount of financial and material aid. Approximately 20 trucks departed for the Tunisian Red Crescent headquarters in Tunis, carrying essential supplies. These included around 20 tonnes of food, 30 tonnes of medicines, 2 tonnes of mattresses, and 5 tonnes of blankets. Additionally, the convoy transported 26 electric generators and 500 units of paramedical equipment, including wheelchairs.
Nafati noted that the regional operation aimed at supporting Gaza is expected to continue for about a month, demonstrating the sustained effort of the Tunisian Red Crescent and the local community in providing relief to the Palestinian people.
