Church Completes Trumpet Ceremony Lesson Ahead of Atonement Day Celebration

Aburi: The Seventh Day Theocratic World Congregation has concluded a one-day intensive teaching session on the Trumpet Ceremony, held at its Sabbath grounds near Aburi in the Eastern Region. The session was in preparation for the upcoming Atonement Day celebration scheduled for September 7.

According to Ghana News Agency, Apostle Dr. E.H. Agbalenyo, Founder and Leader of the church, emphasized the significance of the trumpet ceremony as a critical spiritual ordinance established by Almighty God in the wilderness for the sanctification of lawful worship periods. He explained that the trumpet's blowing was not merely ceremonial but a divine command originally given to the children of Israel and extended to the Judaic-Christian community. Without the sanctification of sacrifice by the trumpet, such offerings will not be accepted by the Almighty God, as exemplified by the biblical story of Cain's rejected offering in Genesis 4:3-7.

Apostle Agbalenyo highlighted that the Trumpet Ceremony serves to dedicate and memorialize all lawful sacrifices before God, including daily prayers, the Seventh Day Sabbath, the New Months, the Feast of Passover, the Feast of Weeks, the Atonement Day, and the Feast of Tabernacles, as outlined in Numbers 28:1-2. He noted that this divine command distinguishes the Hebraic community from the Gentile community, which often disregarded the Creator and dishonored sacred worship.

He stressed the responsibility of the ministers of the Almighty God to continue preaching and gathering the scattered children of the Lord God of the fathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The mission of the Congregation, he said, is to build the Kingdom of Yahweh on earth, as described in Matthew 6:6-9, and to reveal the knowledge of the Creator to the Gentile world in accordance with Psalm 115:1-8.

Apostle Agbalenyo warned that if the Judaic-Christian community was judged on the Day of Judgment without warning, it could lead the Gentile nations to question the integrity of God, referencing Exodus 32:7-14. Therefore, the Trumpet Day is instituted as a divine proclamation and warning, commanded to both Mosaic and Messianic congregations, as stated in Isaiah 58:1-3.

He further explained that although the Day of Atonement is observed on the 10th of Ethanim, the Trumpet Ceremony on the first day of the same month prepares believers through repentance and spiritual reflection, citing Romans 2:20-24 and Numbers 29:5-6. The event attracted church members from across the country and abroad, as the congregation intensifies its spiritual readiness ahead of one of its most sacred annual observances.
