CXP Ghana President Urges Prioritization of Essential Services for All Citizens

ACCRA: Ms Esther Dokuwaa Ofosuhene, President of CXP Ghana, has emphasized the need for prioritizing access to essential services across all demographics to enhance citizen satisfaction and governmental transparency. Speaking at the annual CXP Ghana Conference in Accra, she highlighted the importance of leveraging technology and innovative approaches to improve service delivery in education, public safety, and other essential sectors. According to Ghana News Agency, Ms Ofosuhene addressed the conference on the theme "Citizen Experience-We Are Customers" and stressed the importance of making every citizen feel valued and fairly treated. She advocated for a shift in how services are delivered, suggesting that the government should not only widen access but also make engagements more transparent and decisions more accountable. "We need to ensure that everybody, regardless of where they live or their socioeconomic status, must have easy access to the services they need," Ms Ofosuhene said. She argued that enhan cing the personal experience with governmental services is crucial for building trust and ensuring that citizens feel their needs are being met. Further, Ms Ofosuhene emphasized the need for clear communication and a culture of transparency within the country's institutions. She called for continuous improvement and openness to new ideas, learning from global best practices, and adapting to innovative methods to serve the citizens effectively. In addition, the conference featured insights from Mr Gideon Asare, Chief Executive Officer of Adansi Travel, who discussed the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in personalizing and enhancing citizen service experiences. He encouraged public organizations and other entities to adopt AI technologies to optimize efficiency and improve service delivery outcomes. "AI has not come to take your job, but to augment what you do. However, if you don't learn how to use it, then people who know how to use it will take your job," Mr Asare explained, highlighting the importa nce of technological adaptation in the modern workforce. Ms Ofosuhene concluded her speech by calling for investment in public servants to equip them with the necessary skills and tools to meet evolving citizen needs and transform ordinary citizen interactions into extraordinary experiences.
