Health Minister Stresses Retention of Young Doctors at National Medical Ethics Conference in Tunis

Tunis, Tunisia – At the 27th Annual Conference of the National Medical Ethics Committee, Health Minister Ali Mrabet emphasized the importance of retaining young doctors in Tunisia. The conference, held at the Tunisian Academy of Sciences, Letters and Arts, Beït Al-Hikma in Carthage, focused on addressing the migration of medical and paramedical staff.

According to Agence Tunis Afrique Presse, Mrabet highlighted the need to strengthen the health sector and improve the quality of services for Tunisian citizens. He underscored the issue of medical staff migration and praised the contributions of young doctors in Tunisian hospitals and clinics.

The conference, themed "Migration of Medical and Paramedical Staff: Ethical Issues," saw the participation of various prominent figures. These included the President of the National Medical Ethics Committee Skandar Mrad, Dean of the University of Medicine of Tunis Mohamed Jouini, President of the Council of the Order of Pharmacists Mustapha Laaroussi, a representative of the World Health Organization in Tunisia, members of the Association of Young Doctors, and several professors and experts.
