As part of the French-Tunisian cultural cooperation in the publishing sector, l'Institut Français de Tunisie (IFT) announced Thursday the opening of the second session of the Programme for Publishing Support (PAP) for 2023.

For this call for projects, online filing of grant applications is open until August 31, 2023.

A committee made up of the various stakeholders in the book industry (authors, academics, journalists, booksellers, etc.) in Tunisia and chaired by the IFT will convene to consider applications and establish the list of recipients as well as the amount of grants. Final results will be announced in late September.

The programme is designed to foster the emergence of young talents with special attention given to French-Arabic or Arabic-French translation projects.

Priority will also be granted to contemporary fiction and debates of ideas that foster rapprochement between the French-speaking and Arabic-speaking spaces.
