Kasserine, Tunisia – The Independent Local Electoral Authority (IRIE) in the governorate of Kasserine has registered a total of 442 candidacies for the forthcoming local council elections. This figure includes a significant number of submissions from people with disabilities.
According to Agence Tunis Afrique Presse, The IRIE has prepared extensively for the elections, with a total of 310 polling stations established across 13 delegations in Kasserine. The governorate is divided into 106 constituencies and an equal number of Imadas, ensuring a wide representation in the local council elections.
