US Monastir, already eliminated from the King Salmane Club Cup, conceded their third defeat in the tournament to Saudi Arabia's Al-Shabab (0-1), at a Group C day-3 game played on Thursday afternoon in Taef, Saudi Arabia.

Ever Banega scored the only goal of the game (26 pen.).

In the other match in the group, Zamalek of Egypt and Al-Nassr of Saudi Arabia made a 1-1 draw.

At the end of this third day, Al-Nassr top the standings with seven points, ahead of their compatriots Al-Shabab on five. Both Saudi clubs are through to the quarter-finals.

Zamalek, third on 4 points, and US Monastir, fourth on 0 points, are eliminated.

The tournament played in three cities: Abha, Baha and Taef will feature 16 teams divided into four groups of four. The top two teams in each group will qualify for the quarter-finals, which will be played on Saturday August 5 and Sunday August 6.

The semi-finals will be played on Wednesday 9 August and the final is scheduled for Saturday, August 12.
