Students of ZICO Encouraged to Harness AI for Research

Anloga: Mr. Robert Kofi Fiadzo, Former Greater Accra Regional Auditor, has urged students of Anloga Zion College (ZICO), in the Volta Region to harness Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a tool for research. He emphasized the need for students to adapt, unlearn, and relearn as AI continuously evolves, thereby fostering a growth mindset that thrives on challenges.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Fiadzo, who was the Special Guest at the second edition of ZICO academic excellence awards held at the school premises in Anloga, highlighted the benefits of using AI in research, including improved efficiency, accuracy, and productivity. He explained that AI can aid students in analyzing complex data, identifying patterns, and generating insights, leading to comprehensive research outcomes. By leveraging AI, students can produce high-quality research that is well-informed and accurately referenced.

Mr. Fiadzo noted that AI has transformed learning techniques, access to information, and methods of problem-solving. With access to intelligent tools, students have a wealth of resources at their disposal to enhance personalized learning, speed up research, and devise innovative solutions. He stressed that the foundation of academic excellence and integrity, which includes curiosity, critical thinking, and creativity, must be maintained even as automation and artificial intelligence advance.

He addressed concerns about AI potentially replacing human effort, urging students to view AI as a powerful tool that can amplify their potential and propel them to greater heights when used wisely. He emphasized that academic excellence requires resilience, adaptability, and a thirst for knowledge, with AI providing information while individual curiosity and determination transform that information into wisdom.

Mr. Fiadzo encouraged students to think beyond AI, develop problem-solving skills, and remain disciplined, ethical, and adaptable to lifelong learning. He highlighted the importance of teamwork and brainstorming, urging students to engage with one another, share ideas, and compete healthily, as excellence is a collective journey.

He pointed out that AI has driven the world forward and called upon governors, leaders, learners, and parents to collaborate in ensuring Zion College remains a beacon of holistic education where technology and humanity coexist.
