Tunisia Celebrates Bronze ‘Labaytum’ Award for Excellence in Pilgrim Services

Accra: Tunisia has won the Bronze 'Labaytum' Award for Excellence in services provided to pilgrims, among 80 Hajj affairs offices from around the world participating in the competition. The award was presented during a ceremony organised by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah on Friday evening. According to Agence Tunis Afrique Presse, the ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah under the chairmanship of Minister Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah. It was attended by Minister of Religious Affairs Ahmed Bouhali, CEO of the National Services and Residences Company, Issam Hammami, a number of office members, and representatives of the Tunisian diplomatic mission in the Kingdom. On this occasion, the minister received the official organisational document for the upcoming Hajj season 1448 AH. In another context, the Minister of Religious Affairs, head of the Tunisian Hajj Office, accompanied by the CEO of the National Services and Residences Company, visited late Thursday night th e Tunisian pilgrims' camps in Mina, where he spoke with them about their accommodation conditions and the services provided to them. The pilgrims expressed their satisfaction with the services, while also putting forward proposals to further improve them in future seasons. The minister pledged to review, study, and adopt feasible suggestions, according to the Ministry's statement. Bouhali also inspected several facilities in the camps, visited the health mission, reviewed the meals provided to pilgrims, and met with representatives of the Company of Mutawwifs for Pilgrims from Arab Countries. On another note, the minister also met with several pilgrims during the stoning of the Jamarat, according to the statement.
