Tunisian President Saied Calls for Heightened Vigilance Amidst National Challenges

Tunis, Tunisia - President Kais Saied of Tunisia has emphasized the necessity of heightened vigilance and attention during the nation's current period of transition. This directive was issued during a meeting on Monday at the Carthage Palace with key security officials, including Interior Minister Kamel Feki, Director General of National Security Mourad Saidane, and Director General and Commander of the National Guard Hassine Gharbi.

According to Agence Tunis Afrique Presse, President Saied acknowledged the significant role played by the security units in maintaining national security, supported by the armed forces. He commended the responsibility demonstrated by Tunisian citizens in their efforts to safeguard the country against various threats.

Furthermore, President Saied called for an escalation of patrols across all regions of the Republic. This request comes in the wake of successful campaigns conducted by the security forces recently and currently underway to pursue and apprehend criminals. The President's appeal for intensified security measures underscores the government's commitment to ensuring public safety and maintaining order during this critical phase in Tunisia's journey.
