Accra: Keed Ghana Limited and KGL Technology Limited are distinct companies, stated Dr. Razak Kojo Opoku, former Public Relations Manager of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), in a recent declaration. He refuted claims made by a media outfit, labeling their report on the NLA-KGL partnership as misleading and lacking professionalism.

According to Ghana News Agency, Dr. Opoku clarified that the payment of a penalty by both Keed Ghana Limited and the NLA was a lawful and appropriate action. He further explained that following the penalty payment, KGL Technology Limited transparently and legitimately assumed operations from Keed Ghana Limited.

Dr. Opoku challenged critics to address questions about other companies allegedly operating online lottery platforms without proper authorization. He questioned how much the operators of www.theb2blotto.com paid for running the 5/90 lottery online without a license.

He argued that addressing these concerns would reveal the 'selective and unbalanced reporting' by the media outlet in its investigation into the NLA-KGL partnership. Dr. Opoku humorously remarked, "Their agenda is not agending," suggesting that attempts to discredit the NLA-KGL partnership were unsuccessful.

Dr. Opoku asserted that the collaboration between the NLA and KGL Technology Limited had been advantageous for both the Authority and Ghana's lottery industry. He emphasized that the media reports were based on flawed assumptions and factual inaccuracies.
