New CEO of Lower Pra Rural Bank Plans Branch Expansion

Accra: The Lower Pra Rural Bank is working towards increasing its number of branches this fiscal year to boost revenue and enhance operational efficiency. Mr. Ernest Nii Tackie-Otoo, the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of the bank, expressed his intentions to the Ghana News Agency, stating that he has begun discussions with the Board of Directors to advance this initiative.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Tackie-Otoo aims to convert all existing mobilisation centres into fully operational branches. He is engaging with the Board to incorporate more centres and potentially establish new offices. He also indicated that the bank would explore diversifying its investments to maintain financial stability.

Mr. Tackie-Otoo mentioned the bank's commitment to continuing its investment in loans for women and encouraged more individuals to purchase shares and increase deposits. Additionally, he highlighted the development of customised products at affordable rates to enhance customer satisfaction and attract new clients.

The CEO noted that staff salaries and the bank's capital adequacy ratio, which stands at 10.1 percent, have been given the necessary attention. He shared his vision of advancing the human capital development of staff and improving the general operations of the bank. Mr. Tackie-Otoo also emphasized his focus on good governance practices and effective risk management strategies during his tenure.
