New executive cultural cooperation programme devised between Tunisia and Libya

A three-year (2023-2025) executive cooperation and joint cultural exchange programme between Tunisia and Libya was devised during a working visit to Libya’s Tripoli conducted by a Cultural Affairs Ministry delegation led by Chief of Staff to Cultural Affairs minister Lassad Said.
This programme seeks to foster cultural cooperation relations between Tunisia and Libya in several fields, namely heritage, music, books, digital culture and exchange of manuscripts, the official told TAP on Thursday.
Emphasis was also laid on stepping up the two countries’ participation in major festivals and cultural events in both countries.
The Tunisian delegation and Libyan Minister of Culture Mabrouka Toghi held a set of meetings which led to an agreement on the opening of a Tunisian-Libyan cultural centre in Tripoli and the re-launch of the Libyan-Tunisian cultural centre in the capital Tunis, he pointed out.
It was also agreed, he pointed out, to ensure both ways that the activities of the Arab Book House, suspended since 2011, will be relaunched and that cultural weeks will be organised in both countries.
