President Macron Praises King Mohammed VI as Symbol of Dynastic Continuity and Modernity.

Rabat: President Emmanuel Macron of France has lauded His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco for embodying both the ancient continuity of one of the world's oldest dynasties and the modern facets of industrial and technological advancement. Macron made these remarks during a speech addressed to the Moroccan Parliament, highlighting the 25 years since King Mohammed VI ascended the throne. According to Ghana News Agency, Macron emphasized the confidence with which Morocco is progressing, attributing this to the nation's historical awareness and the dynamic energy of its youth. He commended the tolerant form of Islam promoted by King Mohammed VI, describing it as a challenge against extremism, and highlighted the importance of this tolerance in a world currently plagued by division and conflict. Macron also referenced the recent signing of the Declaration on the 'Enhanced Exceptional Partnership' between Morocco and France, which aims to address bilateral, regional, and international challenges by fostering c ooperation across various sectors. He expressed optimism about the future under King Mohammed VI's leadership, noting the enlightened vision and accomplishments of his reign as an invitation to progress. The French President concluded by acknowledging the role of the Moroccan representatives, who, guided by their Sovereign, have embraced diversity, dialogue, and tolerance as core elements of their national identity and governance. Macron's State visit to Morocco, from October 28 to 30, marks a significant chapter in the long-standing friendship between the two nations.
