President of Manouba University named VP of International Association of Universities representing Africa

The University of Manouba, on Monday, announced the appointment of its president, Jouheina Gherib, to the post of vice-president of the International Association of Universities (IAU), representing Africa in the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for a period of 4 years.
The IAU, which is an official partner of UNESCO, has about 600 members representing universities and higher education institutions from 150 countries, according to a statement issued by the university’s press office.
The President of the University of Manouba was appointed to this position after his participation in the meeting of the Board of Directors of the IAU held on March 16 and 17 at the headquarters of UNESCO in Paris.
The International Association of Universities, founded in 1950, contributes through various activities and initiatives to the dissemination of fundamental values and the promotion of universities and exchanges between the community of higher education, in addition to enhancing the quality of learning and scientific planning.
