President Saied meets Saudi Minister of Interior

President Kais Saied met, on Wednesday at the Carthage Palace, Saudi Minister of Interior, Prince Abdelaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The Head of State expressed Tunisia’s willingness to continue strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and fruitful cooperation with Saudi Arabia, the Presidency said in a statement.

He also praised the exceptional level of security cooperation between the two countries, stressing the need to further strengthen these relations and intensify consultations and cooperation between the two countries as part of a comprehensive approach to address the root causes of terrorism, extremism and organised crime.

Such an approach, he said, would help address common challenges and build a better future for the two peoples and the region as a whole.

For his part, the Saudi minister expressed his country’s willingness to develop and strengthen cooperation with Tunisia in the field of security.

He also expressed to President Saied the determination of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to continue supporting Tunisia in achieving the aspirations of its people.
