Some 517,351 people participate in national consultation on education system’s reform


The number of participants in the national consultation on the reform of the education system reached 517,351 on December 8, the majority of whom are children, compared with a low participation rate among young people aged over 20.

Children aged between 12 and 15 accounted for the highest percentage of participants, reaching 29.1%, while the percentage of young people aged between 20 and 30 did not exceed 4.3%.

The 16-20 age group came second in terms of participation rate, with 22.7%, followed by the 41-65 age group, with 20.2%, and 13.5% for children under 12.

The participation rate was 1.4% for people aged 66 and over, compared with 8.7% for the 31-40 age group.

The Ministry of Family, Women, Children and the Elderly stated in a press release that children and parents wishing to take part in the national consultation on education reform can go to the National Computer Centre for Children and other regional centres in the various governorates of the Republic, open every week until December 15, 2023.
