Tunisia-China: Large Chinese construction and investment group interested in transport projects in Tunisia

(TAP) – Officials of “China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC)”, a large construction and investment group present in more than 100 countries and regions of the world, expressed on Friday in Tunis their interest in strengthening Tunisian-Chinese cooperation through the implementation of transport and investment projects in Tunisia.

 

Minister of Transport, Rabie Majidi, who met with the Chinese manufacturer’s officials, said he was open to proposals for the achievement of long-term projects with a timetable to be set for this purpose, says a statement from the Ministry of Transport.

 

During his meeting with the Chinese officials, the minister pointed out that the implementation of major port, airport and railway infrastructure projects is part of the national transport strategy for 2040, which aims to develop transport systems, improve traffic flow in cities and urban areas, save energy and improve the lives of citizens.

 

The China State Construction Engineering Corporation is engaged in real estate development, construction financing and concession operation, building and infrastructure construction, engineering and design, as well as emerging sectors, including green building, energy conservation and environmental protection.
