Piwc atomic: In a dazzling display of talent and devotion, AfroStepz Dance Academy clinched the first place at the Praise Dance Battle, a highlight of the 10th Ghana Dance Festival. The event, set at the PIWC Atomic, featured top praise dance groups vying for the coveted title in a spirited three-round competition.
According to Ghana News Agency, CEO of the Ghana Dance Festival, the competition was intense, featuring AfroStepz Dance Academy, Dance 360, Flames Dance Company, CDS, Shepherds, KTwins Gh, and Pawers Nation. The final round saw AfroStepz Dance Academy emerge victorious, securing a GHC4000 cash prize, while Dance 360 took second place with GHC2000. The event was hosted by MC Psalm One, who kept the audience engaged and announced the winners at the conclusion of the battle.
Klah expressed satisfaction with the event’s return to a church setting, emphasizing the festival’s commitment to utilizing dance as a form of worship and service. The partnership with PIWC Atomic, facilitated by Pastor Michael
Laryea and approved by Apostle Anthony Mensah, played a crucial role in the event’s success. Klah hinted at an even more impactful event next year, building on the positive outcomes of this year’s festival.
Additionally, the festival featured a panel discussion aimed at fostering collaboration between dancers and urban gospel singers. Moderated by Klah, the discussion included urban gospel artists Scott Evans, Kobby Salm, and Kingz Kid, who explored ways to promote and integrate their talents for greater community impact.
The Praise Dance Concert, part of the larger Ghana Dance Festival, was supported by several organizations including DanceSport Ghana, Dancers and DanceSport Association of Ghana (DDASPAG), Ministry to Celebrities of PIWC, and powered by Dancetera. This collaboration underscores the festival’s commitment to enriching the praise and worship experience through dance.
