Accra: Prophet Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah, Founder and Leader of the Believers Worship Centre, has paid a courtesy call on the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Asante Akim South, Maame Sarfoah Appiah, to explore avenues for deepening collaboration between the Church and the Municipal Assembly. The meeting was held in a warm and cordial atmosphere, with both parties engaging in a productive dialogue centered on matters of mutual interest, particularly community development, youth empowerment, and faith-based support for socio-economic progress.
According to Ghana News Agency, discussions also highlighted the role of religious institutions in advancing moral values, strengthening social interventions, and contributing to holistic development within the municipality. Prophet Kyei-Duah is currently spearheading the establishment of a new branch of the Believers Worship Centre in Adansi, a community along the Kumasi-Accra Highway. The project, dubbed 'Philadelphia City,' will feature a modern church complex alongside auxiliary facilities such as a school, hospital, and recreational centers. These are expected to generate employment opportunities and significantly boost the local economy.
Maame Sarfoah Appiah commended the Prophet and his church for their active role in fostering spiritual and moral growth, while also expressing appreciation for their commitment to the Assembly's development agenda. She reaffirmed the Assembly's readiness to partner with all stakeholders, particularly faith-based organisations, whose grassroots reach and dedication to service play a crucial role in local governance and community well-being.
Prophet Kyei-Duah, for his part, praised the MCE's leadership and pledged the church's ongoing support and collaboration. He emphasised the church's commitment to promoting peace, unity, and sustainable development across the municipality.
