Pleasant Medical Centre Marks Third Anniversary with Free Health Screenings and Blood Donation Drive

Ashaiman: The Pleasant Medical Centre celebrated its third anniversary by offering free health screenings and hosting a blood donation drive in Ashaiman, aiming to bolster community health and encourage voluntary blood donations. According to Ghana News Agency, the event themed "Three Years of Providing Quality Health the Pleasant Way," included free breast and prostate screenings for local residents. Mr. Aaron Mensah, the operations manager at Pleasant Medical Centre, highlighted the initiative as a gesture of gratitude towards the community that has supported the centre since its inception. He emphasized the importance of these health services in maintaining the well-being of Ashaiman residents. The centre also partnered with the Tema General Hospital's blood bank to facilitate a blood donation exercise. Mr. Mensah underlined the critical role of educating the public on the benefits of blood donation and its impact on saving lives. He expressed the centre's commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare and expanding their services to reach more people in the community. Additionally, Mr. Ebenezer Ephraim, the blood organizer at Tema General Hospital, addressed common misconceptions associated with blood donation. He reassured the public that donated blood is used strictly for medical purposes and encouraged more people to participate in such life-saving activities. The Pleasant Medical Centre continues to provide free surgeries and aims to enhance its healthcare offerings through a customer-friendly approach, ensuring accessible and affordable medical services to the people of Ashaiman and surrounding areas.
