Rt Rev Dr Dogbe Urges Ghanaians to Support Marginalised During Easter

Accra: Right Reverend Dr Hilliard K. Dela Dogbe, the Presiding Bishop of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, has urged Ghanaians to extend their support and compassion towards the marginalised, the weak, and the dying within society. He emphasized the importance of using the Easter season as an opportunity to sacrifice for the nation, aiming to make Ghana, and the world at large, a better place.

According to Ghana News Agency, Rt Rev Dr Dogbe, in his Easter message, encouraged Ghanaians to make their resources available and collaborate to strengthen the nation. He highlighted Easter as a time to unite in fellowship and celebrate God’s faithfulness, deliverance, and loving-kindness. He reflected on the significance of Easter as a symbol of God’s love and a call to respond positively to Christ’s sacrifice and resurrection.

Rt Rev Dr Dogbe expressed concerns about pressing issues such as illegal mining, unrest in Bawku, and sanitation challenges in urban areas. He stressed the need for peace and a bipartisan approach to national interests. He also pointed out the importance of maintaining hope in the present and future, inspired by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Reflecting on the recent presidential and parliamentary elections, Rt Rev Dr Dogbe reminded the nation of the heightened tension and scattered chaos that accompanied the election results. He urged patience and prayer as the nation awaited the final declaration of results for one constituency.

In his concluding remarks, he called for continuous prayers for President John Mahama, the Executive, Parliament, the Judiciary, and security services, seeking wisdom, courage, and decisiveness in governance.
