Tunis: The departure from Tunisia of pro-Palestinian activists seeking to break Israel’s naval blockade of Gaza with aid boats has been postponed, organizers said. Initially planned for Sunday, the organizers have now rescheduled the vessels’ departure from Tunis to Wednesday, September 10, due to technical and logistical reasons beyond management’s control.

According to Nam News Network, members of the Global Sumud Flotilla, who were loading boxes ahead of their departure to Gaza from Barcelona, Spain, were compelled to return to port earlier due to stormy weather. The flotilla, part of an international effort to deliver aid to Gaza, faced unexpected delays, affecting their mission to support the Palestinian territory.

The organizers of the flotilla remain committed to their cause despite the setbacks. The revised schedule aims to ensure a safe and effective journey to Gaza, emphasizing the importance of delivering much-needed aid to the region. The flotilla represents a collective effort to challenge the blockade imposed by Israel and provide humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza.
