KLENORMADI: The Weta Rice Farmers Association of Ghana (WRIFAG) is set to officially launch its farmer-based organization on Saturday, bringing together a diverse group of stakeholders in Klenormadi, situated in the Ketu North Municipality. The event aims to unite farmers, government representatives, and various community leaders to advance rice farming in the region. According to Ghana News Agency, the launch was announced via a communiqué signed by Mr. Michael Agbetsiafa and Mr. Sampson Klutsey Gamenyah, who serve as the President and Patron of WRIFAG, respectively. The statement emphasized the association's commitment to collaboration, innovation, and the sustainable production, processing, and distribution of rice. WRIFAG aims to impact agribusiness positively within the Ketu North Municipality and extend its influence to surrounding districts in the Volta Region of Ghana. The association's vision is to establish a thriving community of rice farmers, recognizing the importance of engaging various stakeh olders in achieving shared objectives. The event, themed "Agriculture Revolution: A Sine Qua Non for Industrial Transformation in Ghana - The Role of WRIFAG," is designed to offer insights into the organization's mission, objectives, and values, highlighting its potential impact locally and globally. The launch will include speeches from notable figures, goodwill messages from businesses, and cultural presentations such as an exhibition, poetry recital, and traditional drumming and dancing. The event is expected to underscore the critical role of agriculture in Ghana's industrial transformation.
