According to Ghana News Agency:ccording to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Gabriel Agbanyo, the President of the Alumni Association, stated that the donation was aimed at enhancing both academic and administrative work at various levels within the school. He highlighted the importance of giving back to the institution that trained them, identifying and addressing challenges faced during their tenure. Mr. Agbanyo also indicated that the association plans to further support UHAS by constructing a new hostel facility to alleviate overcrowding in existing accommodations.
Mr. Agbanyo emphasized that the alumni association’s core mission is to apply their education in meaningful service to society and contribute back to the university. He expressed hope that the university would make effective use of the donated equipment and reaffirmed the ongoing support from the alumni association, positioning them as development partners for UHAS.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the institution, Professor Lydia Aziator, the Vice C
hancellor of UHAS, expressed her gratitude to the Alumni Association. She assured that the printers would be used to enhance the school’s operations and appealed to other individuals, companies, philanthropists, and alumni groups to assist in addressing other critical challenges faced by the university.
Students and tutors present at the donation ceremony expressed their excitement and appreciation for the support, calling for further contributions from other stakeholders.
